Doremisoft XAVC Video Converter: Convert XAVC to Most Popular Video Formats Effortlessly

Published on by Kueens

XAVC is a brand new recording format introduced by the famous Japanese camera manufacturer Sony on October 30, 2012. It is an open format that will be entitled to all those who want to produce XAVC equipments. The Sony XAVC format complies with H.264/MPEG-4 at the highest level 5.2 with the video essence kept encapsulated in an industry standard MXF OP-1a wrapper, accompanied by audio and meta-data elements. XAVC can support 4K resolution (4096 × 2160 and 3840 × 2160) at up to 60 fps. Very recently on April 7, 2013, Sony just announced a couple of enhancements to its XAVC video format, including the XAVC-S that uses MP4 as the container format and either AAC or LPCM for the audio.

“Sony's not the only one making XAVC-compatible devices however; over 60 manufacturers have applied for XAVC licenses while 31 others have pledged to support it in their products” said the Engadget, from which we can infer that XAVC will soon lead the trend. However, since XAVC is quite new a format that most of the devices, application and programs such as Mac, Smart TV, QuickTime, Media Player, FCP, iMovie, AE, Sony Vegas and more, cannot run such footages. In this case, you need to transcode the XAVC footages to other kind of popular video formats like MP4, MKV, WMV, AVI, DivX, XviD, VOB, MOV, M4V, etc. for better compatibility.

To do so, you will need a professional XAVC Video Converter (XAVC Video Converter for Mac) to help. Here I will use the one designed by Doremisoft for it can effortlessly convert XAVC to MP4/XAVC to AVI/XAVC to MOV/XAVC to FLV and more without losing the original video quality at a high conversion speed.
